I have probably to add a minimum to the sensitivity.

Can you send me a small example which shows this problem, please?
The sensitivity of snap is modified with the zoom.
The sensitivity is smaller when the zoom is bigger.
Why not add the possibility to change it as you describe.

The new hatches and textures take less memory in files because only the definition of them are stored, not all lines like for the old.
But with the olds, you can draw hatches and textures with objects into other.
It is not the same goal.

The classic way will not be removed.
I have some bugs with polygons.
This method can be very time consuming with complex and small textures and complex polygons (or spline or Bézier).
