Thank you very much, sir...that solution works brilliantly to draw or move objects horizontally, provided I hit shift after I start to move the object, as you say. And I feel pretty stupid to not think of waiting to hit shift. So accustomed am I to windows.

Hello...
Been using Real Cadd for several years now, mostly really like it. But I've had the same problem since the beginning; Pallet Transparency.
It's very slick how it fades when you mouse away from it, but I prefer it solid, all the time.
That isn't a problem, I can turn down the transparency ...
