Yes, you have to "take" it directly on the point you want without selecting it before.
If you select it before and then take a handle you change the object but not move it.

When RealCADD saves a file, the previous version is not deleted but moved into the trash.
So if you don't have emptied it, you can retrieve the previous version of your file.
