Re: Bug in Views

Ah – Ok I can see that! You can also cause a crash – I was moving the drawing so I could see the View window and accidentally closed it. But the View window stayed open and the only way to close it was to hit OK – which made RealCADD crash. Perhaps it should have a Cancel button, or a red close butt...

And a mild request ...

Hi Eric Is it possible/desirable to be able to centre a "Zoom in" or "Zoom out" by, say, double-clicking on the drawing where you want the zoom to be centered before clicking the zoom icons (bottom left on the screen)? I know you can use the Zoom tool to achieve this, but it mean...

Help with Library

I have a slight problem with my Library. I noticed that a lot of items weren't showing up – so I looked in the library and the ones that weren't showing didn't have .rcad extension. And their icon was this, instead of the RealCADD icon: Screenshot 2021-01-14 at 16.48.03.png So ... I added .rcad exte...

Bug in Views

When you go to add a view (Add the current view), the small window comes up ok, but if you move the mouse outside the title area, the window disappears. Because the View name is in focus, you can name the view provided you don't move the mouse. And, again, provided you don't move the mouse, you can ...

Re: Chamfer and Fillet

Right – yes that works. And if you turn "Display Attraction names" on, it works from the centre/middle as well. But on boat drawings, lines tend to be rather long – often a line drawn parallel to the centreline or datum waterline to construct other things, so the ends and even the centres ...

Chamfer and Fillet

Hi Eric Is it possible to improve the directional action of chamfer and fillet?? For example, as shown below, if I drag from A to B, I get a fillet from C to B: Screenshot 2021-01-07 at 11.07.21.png In this example, of the four options, only a drag from B to C or A to D produces a fillet where I wan...

Re: RealCADD and Mac M1

Looking forward – will the versions of RealCADD for the M1 chip and the Intel chips diverge??

Re: RealCADD and Mac M1

Bravo Eric!! I have to say I would love a new MacBook Air with the M1 chip – but can't really justify the expense at the moment ... as my current MacBook Air is only about a year old. I started designing sailboats on a Mac SE30 with a 9" mono screen (though I had Apple II's before that for gene...

Re: Print Problems

Now here's a funny thing: After I had done all the print tests in my earlier post, I opened a new untitled drawing and copied the contents of one of the drawings that produced the first problem (lots of printer warnings) into it. When I hit Print it went straight into the correct print screen! And n...
