Re: Positive y is up and angles

OK - great!

Will you look at parallels in (possibly?) DXF drawings – see Attributes post – at the same time?

Re: Positive y is up and angles

Hi Eric I think I didn't write the question very clearly. Say I want to draw a line at 35º drawing from top to bottom, with the top of the line inclined to the right. With Positive y is Down (original situation), I would need to draw a line at 125º. So I draw my line at approximately 125º and then I...

Positive y is up and angles

Hi Eric Something odd is happening to Angle on the Edit pallet when "positive y is up" is selected in the Preferences. I draw a line from top to bottom – normally this would be 90º. With positive y is up, the angle shows as 270º. I actually want my line to be at 35º to the vertical, so nor...

Re: Attributes

Hi Eric I think part of the problem that Hubert was having with Parallels could be that he was using it on drawings imported from DWG or DXF. The new dynamic parallels works pretty flawlessly on a new drawing as far as I have experienced. It does exactly what it says it does and does pretty much eve...

Re: A new option and a new dialog

Hi Eric

I don't think "Positive y up" is working on "Move & duplicate" – works fine on "Duplicate & move".

Re: A new option and a new dialog

That looks great to me!
The "extra" line is a feature... or a bug.
I much prefer a feature ...

Re: A new option and a new dialog

OK! I understand now :D With, say, "Single Offset – Number:2 – Offset 20mm" I just can have 2 parallels in the direction I drag. With, say, "Multiple Offset – Number:2 – Offset 20mm" I can have 2 parallels in the direction I drag, but they can be at 20mm or 40mm or 80mm etc, depe...

Re: A new option and a new dialog

Hi Eric But currently it is not easy to choose them because you need to select an object, call Action -> Parallel and click OK to validate the datas which will be used with the drawing tools and option key. I have to find another way. Double-click for the new way Option-click for the old way Would t...

Re: A new option and a new dialog

Bonsoir (heure américaine) Eric I think the possibility to invert the y-direction is a really good move – then users can simply choose their preference which solves all the directional controversy at a stroke! I'm having a bit of trouble with the new parallels. I think the basic principle that you d...
