Re: Minor library glitch

Absolutely.

Objects are scaled perfectly correctly. Just the scale shows wrong in the Edit pane.

Thanks Eric

Minor library glitch

Hi Eric There is still a bit of a glitch with library objects and scale. When you put a library object at scale, it scales perfectly correctly to the scale of the drawing you are putting it on. So all is good. But in the Edit pane it shows as its original scale – so before you go any further, you ha...

Hatch & texture bug

Here's a rectangle with a black stroke and a red hatch screenshot.jpg So I select the red hatch and then the black rectangle and duplicate or copy. If I then do anything with the copy (flip, symmetry, move), or move the mouse over another object, the hatch will turn black. If I select the rectangle ...

Re: Calculator

I was afraid it might be!

I'd not heard of Soulver. Just downloaded it. Quick Soulver pretty much does what I was thinking of, in that it stays on top of RealCADD so you can flick between the two pretty much seamlessly.

Thank you for the recommendation!

Calculator

Hey Eric This is just a thought but ... I wondered if it would be worthwhile/useful/possible to incorporate a fairly straightforward calculator function within RealCADD? Perhaps one that would do the basic math - + * / () plus ^ √ tan sin cos π. Or perhaps (better?) a small spreadsheet with those fu...

Re: New problem with 5.02

Just as an aside, I thought (but could easily be wrong!) that phpBB could be programmed to allow specified extensions to be attached – so files with .rcad extension could be allowed .... which would save emailing them when there's a problem. It would also allow forumites to share .rcad files. I don'...

Re: A few problems

Yes for text objects, the default font can't be modified
I can store the last font used and restore it when RealCADD is launch again.
Could the font be stored with a model.mrcad? Then the preferred font would be stored along with the other settings.

Re: A few problems

Hi Mike Hope you are staying safe and well. 1. The center snap has always had that icon and I have to say I've never found it misleading – I guess because my previous CAD program ClarisCad had exactly the same icon .... If you turn "Display attraction name" on it will say "Middle"...

Re: Saving to dxf or dwg crash

Hi Eric Just a bit more information of saving to DXF vis à vis Inkscape. The problem appears to be text. If I remove all text from a RealCADD drawing and save to dxf, Inkscape can open it just fine – well with all the usual scale and fill problems that dxf has – but it opens directly. The moment I a...

Re: Clipboard question

Oh - OK – I misunderstood. I thought you were saying that comparing memory in Ko was a better way than kB. But now I see that it is basically the same! Bit of thread drift here .... But the problem still remains – well it's not a problem, more a difficulty – which is getting a technical drawing into...
