Library

I haven't used the library much, but I'm now just starting to. But I don't quite understand how best to put items into the library. Say I am drawing a boat sailplan. I draw a specific item – say a mastband or a sheave block. Now I want to move those items into the library so that I can use them on o...

Re: Extending a line

That would be great Eric. On the subject of updates: RealCADD is very good value – I have used it now for several years and you have issued several major updates free of charge. Personally, I would be happy to pay a reasonable fee for major updates – i.e. new features, not just bug-fixes. Obviously ...

Re: Mac OS 10.7 Lion

Hello, I just got a new Mac with OSX 10.7 Lion and I'm intrigued by this software. I have 4 GB of Ram, is that enough? I run it quite happily on an iMac with 2GB of RAM – and also on a non-intel PowerBook with 1.25 GB of RAM – so you should be just fine! I tend to turn the display of the grid off a...

Re: Extending a line

That's true – but only in the direction you originally drew it. You can't extend the line from the origination point back and retain the angle. :D

Extending a line

One thing I have not found how to do in RealCADD is to easily extend or shorten a line at its existing angle. I currently use the extend tool, or the cut tool – but this means drawing another temporary line to extend to or cut to, which gets a bit tedious. What would be really great would to be able...

Translating from ClarisCAD (Mac)

Hi Eric – have you considered being able to import ClarisCAD drawings directly into RealCADD? Or is that very difficult to do? I have many thousands of Claris drawings and at the moment, when I need to use one in RealCADD I use Claris Graphics Translator to translate them into DXF files and then ope...

Re: Mac OS 10.7 Lion

Thanks so much Eric – I think I'll wait for the release. I'm in no particular hurry to upgrade to Lion.
