Re: list of suggestions
That may be so on Macs. But every drafting program I've used puts 0, 0 at the center. So you can go up and down, left and right. But regardless of where the origin is, to me, going UP is positive, and DOWN is negative. Look at any reference on cartesian graphing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartesi...

list of suggestions
Eric, I'm quite pleased with the program, with just a few quibbles. 1. I would REALLY like the EXTEND/TRIM tool to work as a trim tool, as I've described in other posts 2. I think you need a MOVE tool, as well as the DUPLICATE AND MOVE (unless it's there, and I just haven't found it!) 3. Moving a du...

Re: Trimming line
But after I adjusted the size of my handles to 25 pixels in the preference settings (second icon along the top from the left, looks like a wrench and screwdriver) it works much more easily and reliably now for me. Maybe this will help other people who are having a similar frustration getting trimmi...

Scaling
Eric, Can you help me figure out the proper scaling factors? Here's the setup: I want my drawing to fit on a standard 8½ x 11 page, when I export it. I'm drawing on an iPad. Most of what I build is (actual size) from 3' to 16' wide x 8' high. (Bookcases and cabinets) With my other drawing program, a...

Re: Saving files
I don't recall what I was doing, before the crash. But it has happened more than once. I'll try to be more observant in future. Meanwhile, if I understand you correctly, If I open the File icon and then close it without doing anything else, my file will save in its current state? Or is there somethi...

Saving files
Eric, I have opened a new file, with a new name. I worked on it for a while, and then, for no apparent reason, the program closed. When I restarted the program, it opened to the previous file. I went to the "File Open" icon, chose my new file, and it only had a couple of my preliminary lin...

Re: Snap-to
Eric, Please look at the picture attached. I would like a circle to show me when I am on the left-hand vertical, to start my horizontal line, and another to show me when my horizontal hits the right hand vertical, so I know when to stop. EDIT: I found my solution. I divide the left line into section...

Re: 2 how-to questions
Thanks, Eric. At least now, I won't get frustrated trying! We talked about trimming in an earlier post. With this drawing, what I would like is clearer: In my current drawing program, I could pull a parallel line off of that left edge, just the way I would do it with iPocketDraw. Then I would select...

Re: 2 how-to questions
Eric,
I have reattached the drawing (I hope!)
Your instructions for the door issue work fine. Thanks for the explanation.
For my other question, the drawing should make it more clear: I want to copy and move a SEGMENT of the line, not the entire line.
