Re: Beta 10
Hi Eric A few tools don't seem to work: Arc by three points Circle by three points Spline tool Arc by diameter – works in isolation but not by attraction – e.g. you can't create an arc from the end of one line to the end of another, which you could before. I'm getting used to the new Tools layout :D...

Re: Radius of an arc
Oh – now I've read it more – I see it's iPocketdraw not RealCADD – don't know if the answer I gave is good for that!

Re: Radius of an arc
Hi Mike The simple answer is you can't – there isn't a radius dimension tool or a diameter dimension tool. The standard length dimension tool will measure a diameter – but won't give you a diameter symbol (ø or Ø, d or D). My Auto-size line script will do it – in metric or decimal US units (won't co...

Re: Circles and squares
Good Morning Eric The command line doesn't work with the Y axis inverted, it is perhaps why you have difficulty to use it. OK - that was indeed the problem I had a bit of trouble to start with – I was drawing objects, text etc with it but I couldn't find them! Then I realised they were enormous. I w...

Re: Circles and squares
Hi Eric I have to confess I have never used the command line and so I went and tried it – I don't understand how it works – I can't seem to make it do anything :? Can you explain a bit how it should work? RealCADD is slightly unusual in how it deals with the size of objects. You have to draw the obj...
Re: Tangents
Hi Mike You have to deselect "P" in the snap pallet for Tangent ("T") to work – just hit P on the keyboard will do it. Perpendicular seems to be a "dominant" snap. Tangents to a second circle would indeed be very much appreciated – as you say a "bicycle-chain"...

Re: Circles and squares
You're absolutely right Mike! As usual. What's the point of opening up a new dialogue when the Edit dialogue is already available to do the job. So why not use it to pre-define data rather than post-define it. As an aside I think it would be good if the two circle Edit pallets showed Radius or Diame...

Circles and squares
Hi Eric This has been raised in earlier posts but I thought I would bring it up again. Do you think it would be a good idea to add a double-click to ovals and rectangles – specially those drawn from the centre? Then one could specify the radius etc before drawing the object. As of now if you draw a ...

Re: Parallel problems with imported files
Hi Eric I hadn't thought about layers! The drawing I was using in the video had several layers, but only one was active and only that one was visible – so I was working on the active layer – but I didn't have "on active layer" checked. But I can now reproduce the problems on a new drawing,...
