Yes, that is "killing" the app and gives more memory to the other running apps.

You can for the layers not active. See in Layers -> Options In RealCADD, each "snap on" can be selected or unselected. If there is more demands for this feature, I can add it in iPocket Draw also. Remember that the distance of attraction is function of the size of handles but not of zoom. ...

Yes, Convert to polygon doesn't work with lines.
Probably in a next version.

But you can directly convert a square to a polygon and you can fill a square.
