Re: Sensitivity

Hi Eric OK - found it!! Great. Thank you. Question : can the new sensitivity have affected other tools adversely – I now seem to be having difficulty using Parallel, Cutting & Scissor tools – at anything above about 800 zoom they don't seem to work, on some lines at least. Could it just be on th...

Re: Sensitivity

George, I have uploaded a new beta version : 5.30b2 Can you say if it is better with big zooms? Thanks. Hugely better. No problem getting a P at all (at zoom 16929!!) Sailboat drawings have a lot of detail stuff, but because they are quite big objects to fit on readily available paper sizes, the sc...

Re: Sensitivity

Good morning Eric That makes sense, but at a big zoom, it's really hard to get P to work – see this little movie . Magnification was actually 10948 as I was working on two lines 25mm apart at 1:30 scale and had zoomed in with the magnify tool and wanted to draw a line perpendicular to one, to inters...

Sensitivity

Hi Eric I'm having a bit of trouble with snap – specially P – when on higher magnifications. And in fact selecting generally, again mostly at higher magnifications can be a problem. I do use thin lines (normally 0.1) so I guess this could be part of the trouble?? Often, it does actually snap to P bu...

Re: In the next version...

Right - I hadn't noticed that they were being drawn as a background – that is a very interesting development. Specially if the classic texture and hatch is to be retained. Even the classic textures can be pretty memory-intensive. Does converting them to lines and then grouping the lines use less mem...

Re: In the next version...

Wow - that looks great! A big improvement, though they are already pretty good. Will you still be able to convert a texture/hatch to lines if wished? I do this sometimes when I have textured a complicated area and then need to make a few minor changes. Mind you, with the new version, as long as the ...

Closed and open polygons

Maybe a bit specialist – but a complex curved shape (like the ring frame of a boat) can be converted to a polygon, often with many hundreds or even thousands of sides because of the complex nature of the curved shape. Then they can be saved as DXF files for CNC cutting. RealCADD allows you to calcul...

DWG-DXF Options

Hi Eric

A couple of the windows have German text (in the English version). It's been there some time and I've been meaning to mention it.

Not a big problem!!
