A valid point, certainly.
But I think we agree that a more predictable tool would be a good thing!

Re: Printing changes fonts
Eric, It appears to be a problem with the font, CityBlueprint. I tried a different architect font, Architec.TTF, and printing is now working properly. Another problem dealt with! However, something else has come up: even though I put my entire drawing within the page boundary shown, the output shows...

Re: Dimension Font
SOLVED!
The problem is in the font. It doesn't like being turned from the horizontal. I unchecked Rotate Text, so the dimension is constrained to the horizontal. It works correctly in that configuration.
Thanks for bearing with me, on this.

Printing changes fonts
I have changed dimension and text fonts to City Blueprint.
Text on my drawing is as expected, as is ONE of my dimensions.
When I print - either to a PDF, or to a physical printer - the font reverts to the program default Helvetica.
Why?

Re: Dimension Font
George and Eric, I have tried, multiple times, but the dimension font WILL NOT CHANGE for the other dimensions. In addition, I notice that if I double-click a dimension, it will rotate. (Regardless of the checkbox "Rotate Text.) This is a very nice feature. However, it will only rotate one dime...

Re: Double lines?
George,
I think the step I missed was that, after setting the distance, you have to go back to the LINE tool to draw. In DB, that double line was included in the line tool, so I thought of it that way, rather than setting in the parallel tool.
Where would I be without your help?

Dimension Font
In preferences, I have set my dimension font to City Blueprint. The horizontal dimension shows in that font. However, the vertical and diagonal stay in the default font. Am I missing a setting? dimensions.png Also, there is no place that I can find to set the text default font, which I would also li...

Re: Double lines?
I'm sorry, Eric, but I can't figure out how to make that work. I see the callout box, that mentions using the OPT key, and I see the dialogue box, but I can't get any further.
Could you please give me a step-by-step example?
Merci.
