Re: Templates
Merci.
Templates
Can I preset templates, with different page layout and scalings, and use them when I start a new drawing? I mean a Template in the Mac sense (Stationary for Windows users,) where a new, untitled, unsaved document will be opened, leaving my template untouched.

Double lines?
Is it possible to draw a double line, of a specified width? I often draw shelves in my cabinets, usually one inch thick. Yes, I know how to draw a single line, and then use either parallel or duplicate and move, but a double line would be a nice option.
Re: Printing
George,
Thanks. Still a few things to explore, but at first blush, this does what I need.
I really appreciate your knowledge, and willingness to share it!

Printing
So, I have set a layer scale 1/1, and have drawn a rectangle 11 x 8.5 inches, the size of my paper in landscape mode. And I have set a new layer scale of 1/12, for my drawing of a unit approximately 100 X 84 inches. I can do the drawing, and see that it fits nicely in my page size. I can delete the ...

Re: Stretching an object
OK, I found it. But I still want to know if it would be possible to show the points that have been selected.Eric Pousse wrote:Mike,
This function works only with numbers.
And I show it on the page : http://adx-online.com/realcadd/realcaddus.htm
Re: Parallel
In the 20 years I've been using CAD, I have never needed to do this. Never.Eric Pousse wrote:Like this, for example, you can't do 3 parallels left with a distance A and 1 parallel right with a distance B.Mikerosen wrote:(number fields) Number ___ Distance ___

Re: Parallel
Eric, would it be possible to fix that so that the direction the line is drawn is irrelevant? Sorry Mike, but I don't understand. As we've said, if you draw the line in one direction, the parallels work one way, but if you draw it in the other direction, the parallels work in reverse. In my opinion...

Re: Scaling? Videos? Tutorials? HELP?
George, that helps a bunch. Although I'm not building boats, that 6 meter (19+feet) is just about right for me, as well.
So I open a new drawing, and immediately set the scale to 1:10. All the lines follow that scale. I'm a happy puppy!
Is there a way to set that as a default?
Thanks,
Mike
