Snaps

Post by Angelos »

Some difficulty to understand the snap options.
Is there a sort of OSNAP menu, like AutoCAD? Where can I found a legenda of simbols that appears when I'm snapping to?

You can see the (old) manual at pages 73 to 77 :

Thank you very much. PERFECT.
Is there a way to selecting only some types of attraction points?
Is there an an attraction points to for the center of a circle or a polygone?

A rapid way for drawing perpendicular lines?

A way to change the measurement of all side of a regular polygon? Without change each side at a time

This exists in RealCADD but not in Pocket Draw.
iPocket Draw selects the nearest point of attraction.

Yes for circle, ellipse with back color

Yes try try to draw a line from another object (except spline and Bézier)

Not directly but you can use the command "Resize..."
And enter for Scale x and Scale y :
value of new length / value of old length

Do you think will be possible in the future (soon)?

I found out that you are be able to move in a point, also far away, and that one become attraction point.

Is it correct!

Thanks, but if you want to draw in a different direction often you can't and draw a perpendicular line

If the length of sides is 72 and you want 90, you can enter 90/72 for Scale x and Scale Y and iPocket Draw does the calculation.
For RealCADD, an user asked to have the value entered for Scale x automatically added for Scale Y.
Perhaps I have to do the same in iPocket Draw.

Yes, it is to "align on".
This point are changed dynamically and only the last 3 attraction points are stored.
A little square is drawn around them.
They are reset at each new object drawn.

Sorry.
I mean, if I want to draw a line that is not perpendicular, often the line is always perpendicular and so I had to repeat an repeat
