Hi Eric

I hadn't thought about trying different fonts – I've used Helvetica for drawings for so many years!

Nos. 3, 5, 8 and 10 are pretty good – what fonts are they? I could change.

George,

3 is Optima
5 Helvetica Neue
8 Candara
10 Avenir Next

But I didn't test all fonts...

George,

What about something like this to update regular polygons?

Looks great to me :D

Will you be able to constrain the polygon to one of the constraint angles??

Cheers -- George

P.S. I'll use Helvetica Neue from now on – that's not too big a leap from Helvetica!! Thanks for that.

George,

A new development version (5.20d2) is available.
I didn't try yet to constrain the polygon.

Cordialement.

Hi Eric

The polygons are great!

There are easy workarounds for constraint.

For the first two drawing modes, draw a line (at the "X" value) constrained to the angle you want – or set to the angle you want in Edit. Then draw the polygon snapping to the ends of the line.

For the Value drawing mode, just click on the screen and the polygon automatically draws aligned to the x and y axes – then use Rotation to set it to an angle – or the Rotation tool and snap.

All of these are pretty quick to do .... so if constraint is difficult to accomplish, there's really not a problem.

George,

With the Value drawing mode, you can also use the same method than the first two drawing mode to have the polygon with a defined angle (the length of the line is not important only the angle).

Hi Eric

In v.5.11d2 I get this error message regularly:

crash.jpg
crash.jpg (91.2 KiB) Viewed 5055 times
It seems to happen when I move from the Text tool to the Select tool and click on the drawing.

It doesn't actually produce a crash – it just goes away when OK is clicked. But it comes back when i do the same manoeuvre – not always but often.

Bonjour George,

A new version 5.20d3 is available.
The crash with the text tool is fixed, I think.

A new command has been added to menu "Align" : Center H + V

Cordialement.
