Good evening Eric

That seems to have fixed it!

What a pain ....

I'll keep using it and see if anything else crops up. Worth it to get rich text though.

George, that was something that Apple introduced. And I and a lot of others hate it.

Hi Mike – yes I can see it's a lot of unnecessary stuff for most people and made selecting a font pretty tiresome!

I hadn't noticed it because I only use plain Helvetica on all my drawings, so I virtually never look at the font list!

One of the nice things about the old ClarisCad was that you could select what fonts you wanted to appear in the Fonts menu from the full list of available fonts (which of course is now about 100 times longer!) – so you could have just a few of your favorites there without the need to scroll through a huge list every time. I think I had about five fonts in my font menu.

Perhaps this is the way to go forward as the number of fonts becomes ever greater and more complex ....

Mike, George,

Perhaps, it is a good idea to have a filter to not display all fonts.

Hi Eric

I think in general it would be a nice touch. I can't believe anyone using a CAD program has need of all those fonts! It's really just typical bloating of things by Apple etc., because they can. I can understand for a publishing program or Adobe Illustrator etc. that a lot more fonts are desirable. And if anyone does want them all, or most of them, then they can move them to their specific fonts menu.

ClarisCad had a little window with all the available fonts on the left and the fonts to be displayed/used on the right – with Show>> and <<Remove arrows in between, so you could move fonts in and out of your fonts menu at will – worked pretty well.

Bonjour,

A new beta is available :
RealCADD 5.10b8

With a dark mode.
I was not a fan of this mode but after working with it do add it in RealCADD, now I am.

And, a new menu "Edit" => "Fonts selection..."

I stop here to add new features to this version.
Only bugs fix now.

Thanks
Eric Pousse
