Selection tool action

Post by debenriver »

Hi Eric

It seems to me that with v.20 d6 and d7, the action of the selection tool has changed.

A simple click on an object seems much as ever.

But drawing a marquee seems very different. At first, when you draw a marquee, nothing happens - no marquee appears. But if you hesitate, or pause with the mouse down then continue, it suddenly makes a marquee OK and selects the objects. The same problem with both left and right dragging.

Also none of the double-dotted tools open their menu windows upon an initial double-click. A second double click does it.

V.20 d5 and earlier seem fine.

I tried a different mouse, but same problem.

Cheers -- George

Bonjour George,

I don't understand what you mean by "drawing a marquee".

Cordialement.

Hi Eric

I've probably used the wrong word. I mean the dashed box that you draw as you drag the selection tool - like a rectangular lasso

It was called the "selection marquee" in ClarisCAD, so I've always used that term!
