Library

Post by debenriver »

I haven't used the library much, but I'm now just starting to. But I don't quite understand how best to put items into the library.

Say I am drawing a boat sailplan. I draw a specific item – say a mastband or a sheave block. Now I want to move those items into the library so that I can use them on other drawings. How exactly do I move the item to the library.

Thank you.

It is easy to create a library or to update one but it is not that way.
A library file is just a RealCADD file.
Try to open one like a file with RealCADD, you will see.

To create a new library, simply create a new RealCADD's file in the folder "RealCADD Lib" with a layer for each item you want to put into this library and then paste each item on its layer.
Save the file and choose it into the library pallet.
