Palettes; Scale

Post by Simon Cohen »

I am new to RC and learning.

a. Is it possible to attach palettes to the edge of the window so the palettes are in fixed location with regard to drawing and move together with the window (just like in Claris CAD)?

b. How do I designate/change scale of the drawing or of a single detail on the drawing?

c. Is there any basic training manual such as "how to......?"

Bonjour Simon,

No, that is not possible with RealCADD.

Objects can have a different scale than their layer but the best way (I think) is to have the same scale for objects and their layer. By default, new objects have the same scale than their layer.
Therefore, if you want to have 2 or more different scales on the same drawing, the better way is to work with layers.
For example, you can have the principal drawing with many layers at 1/50 eme and one layer for details at 1/20 eme.

I am not very good to write manual and my english is poor.
But you can ask here as many as you want.

Thanks.

Hi Simon

Welcome to another ex-ClarisCad user!

I promised Eric I would write an English RealCADD manual, which of course I will – finding the time is the problem at the moment!

But as Eric says, ask away on the forum and Eric, or one of us users will answer.

RC is a great program IMHO :D

Cheers – George
