Why can't I get a line to come off a circle at a tangent? It only wants to come off from a quadrant, or at a perpendicular. I have Tangent selected in the Snap palette.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, Eric, have you made any progress on being able to draw a line tangent to two different size circles, like a bicycle chain?
BTW, the new beta is working fine for my simple needs!

Re: Tangents
Hi Mike
You have to deselect "P" in the snap pallet for Tangent ("T") to work – just hit P on the keyboard will do it. Perpendicular seems to be a "dominant" snap.
Tangents to a second circle would indeed be very much appreciated – as you say a "bicycle-chain" construct is very difficult to achieve at the moment – in fact you can't do it!

Re: Tangents
Thanks for those shortcuts! I find that I'm using them more and more, and in more programs.
