I find that 4.20 Beta tends to crash when using the trim tool, specially if you use it lots of times in succession without a 'save' in between. This used to be the case with an earlier version, but it has been very stable in 4.10. That's the only problem that I have encountered so far.
I found that one can now move an object with the up-down-left-right arrows which seems to be new to 4.20 – at least it never worked for me on earlier versions. Are there any other new features which I haven't discovered yet!

Re: More beta
George,
This is not a new feature.
The displacement with the up-down-left-right arrow is possible for a long time.
The value of the displacement is the value of the grid of attraction.
So perhaps that your value was zero or very small.

Re: More beta
OK – you are of course absolutely right! – I used to have the grid set at zero – now I have it set at one. So, I can set the movement to what I want by changing the grid – that is great!
