Eric,
Here's another "DrawingBoard can do it..."
In iPD, Horizontal or vertical mirror flip the object on a center line, and if you duplicated the object first, it will put one on top of the other.
Rotation spins on a center point.
In DB, you could select a line as the "flip point", and mirror the image based on that line, either mirror, or copy and mirror.
To rotate an object, you selected 1. A center of rotation, 2. The starting point (the end of a line) and 3. The ending point of the rotation.
Is there any way these could be considered for future releases?

Bonjour Mike,
But RealCADD and iPocket Draw grow slowly because I have to do another work to live...
Thanks.

Re: Mirror and rotate suggestion/request
Hi Mike
I think you can do all of that in RealCADD ok.
"⌘M >> Circular >> First Circle or Arc" gives you multiple rotations about any centre you choose (I usually select "or next click" because my pivot point is usually already drawn, so I don't have to fuss about the actual x and y co-ordinates). I use it quite a lot – mostly I have to say for testing whether centreboards will rotate in their centrecase without hitting something and to trace the paths of the lift and downhaul ropes.
I haven't ever tried the "Concentric Circles or Arcs" – it looks a bit daunting! But if i got a grip of it I bet I'd find a use for it!
And "Action >> Symmetry with an axis" mirrors an object about a chosen point or line – the angle of the symmetry line defining the angle of the symmetry.
Of course you may have discovered all this anyway ...

Re: Mirror and rotate suggestion/request
Eric, thanks. I know all about real life!
George, no, I hadn't discovered that. I will try them both. Thanks, as always.
EDIT: Symmetry with an Axis is perfect, just what I wanted.
I'm having a little trouble with the rotation, but I'm sure PEBCAK. I'll keep working on it.
Thanks!

Re: Mirror and rotate suggestion/request
Bonjour Mike,
I have almost finished to add this two features to iPocket Draw :
- Symmetry with an axis (like in RealCADD);
- Rotate objects manually from a center you choose (like with the rotate tool in RealCADD);
Symmetry with an axis is called from the action menu after having selected the objects and then, asks you to choose the axis of the symmetry.
But for the "rotate tool", I don't know where can be the better place : in the menu action or a new tool.
On small iPhones, I don't have enough space to add a new separate tool. Perhaps I can put it with the parallel tool.
And this "tool" will not work like other because objects must be selected before to use it.
Like actions from Action menu but needs that the user "draws" an arc after...
Any suggestions will be welcome.
