New version of 5.20 beta

Post by Eric Pousse »

Bonjour,

A new beta version of RealCADD 5.20 is available :
RealCADD 5.20d6

This version includes a request made by Angelos for iPocket Draw about color and transparency of layers, now :
- Layers have a transparency property
- Layer color management change: no more definitive, applied only if checked in pallet, otherwise return to initial color of objects, same for transparency
- Layer palette modified accordingly (addition of transparency field) and call color choice directly from the list, see below :

Now I have to do the same for iPocket Draw...

Didn't really understand this at first – I guess because I've not really used colours for layers!

But I think I've got it now  :

1. With Transparency box unchecked, objects will draw in whatever colour is selected in the Attributes pane.

2. Checking the Transparency box will turn all objects to the colour selected in the Layer "C" box.

3. Unchecking the Transparency box again, all objects will revert to original drawn colours.

4. Drawing with the Transparency box checked, all objects will be drawn at the Layer colour, regardless of what is initially selected in Attributes.

5. Text and fill are not changed. But if you use the dimension tools with the Transparency box checked, the text will be the Layer colour. Ordinary text will however be whatever colour is selected in the Attributes pane, regardless of the Layer colour.

So with existing dimensions the witness lines and dimension lines change when the Transparency box is checked, but the dimension text does not.

Have I got that right??

Cheers -- George

That means that it is not enough clear.
Probably people who used this feature in other apps will have less problems.

Cordialement.
