Wow - that looks great! A big improvement, though they are already pretty good. Will you still be able to convert a texture/hatch to lines if wished? I do this sometimes when I have textured a complicated area and then need to make a few minor changes. Mind you, with the new version, as long as the polygon creating the texture is retained, then changes can be made anyway.

Bonjour George,

For now, no but it is an other way to draw haches and textures as a background color.
The classic way will not be removed.
I have some bugs with polygons.
This method can be very time consuming with complex and small textures and complex polygons (or spline or Bézier).

Cordialement.

Right - I hadn't noticed that they were being drawn as a background – that is a very interesting development. Specially if the classic texture and hatch is to be retained.

Even the classic textures can be pretty memory-intensive. Does converting them to lines and then grouping the lines use less memory? As I mentioned, I do it sometimes so that I can edit a texture (usually alter the area or shape), rather than starting from scratch.

The new hatches and textures take less memory in files because only the definition of them are stored, not all lines like for the old.
But with the olds, you can draw hatches and textures with objects into other.
It is not the same goal.

Bonjour,

A new beta version is available.

I think that I have fixed all problems of glitches into hatches or textures.
I will post the new "official" version shortly.

Thanks

Downloaded and using.

The only problem is that I spend far too much time playing with the new hatches!!

and so sorry :P

I have added the possibility to change more easily the pen size of the associated hatches and textures :

Thanks.
