Sorry George,

A new beta is available.
I think that it is OK now.

Thanks.

That seems all good so far! Thanks Eric.

Been playing with the new background hatches/textures – I really like them! As you said, there are still a few glitches but the basics are great.

I found that the glitches appear with polygons with horizontal segment(s).
Have you found glitches in other cases ?

I had a few freezes – didn't crash as such - just bonged when I tried to do anything. Quit and restart needed. I think I was mostly changing the pattern or the size when it happened. But I can't replicate this.

With polygons the only glitch I have found is that you can't change the colour. If you just move one node a little then you colour changes to whatever is set in the Line box, but to change it again you have to give it another tweak.

A few times this happened with other shapes, but I can't replicate that either.

Observations:

You can't change the transparency of the lines? Just the colour.

You can change the weight of the lines, but this only does the border, not the texture lines?

And you can't have a different coloured border like you can with a solid fill?

I can see it could get pretty complicated for all that to be possible! And there is always the standard textures if you need to do those things.

Cheers -- George

Thank you George !

I have seen some of this problems, I have fixed them.

The color and the transparency of the associated hatch or texture will be as the line of the object.
The width of the hatch or texture is set in the dialogs "Hatches" and "Textures" .
