The pallet of tools

The pallet of tools:

It is the principal pallet of RealCADD which enables you to choose among the tools of selection, navigation, creation of objects or construction-modification.
Certain tools are unrolling to propose more possibilities to you. They are all the tools with a small triangle in top on the right.
Some, with 2 points in bottom on the right, have optional parameter settings. To post their dialogue of parameter setting, it is enough to select (=cliquer on) the tool with the key “Alt” supported.
The majority of the tools have an order keyboard (a letter) of fast selection which makes it possible to avoid clicking on their icon. Cest the letter in bracket on the right of the icons.
Note that the tools are automatically deselected if you click without creating object.

The various tools and functions of this pallet are:

(A)

The tool of selection, displacement or modification of the objects.
To select an object, it is enough to click above. RealCADD then posts the “handles” of the object.
To move an object, it is enough “to take it” apart from the handles, if the object were already selected, by keeping the button of the mouse supported above, to move the mouse and to slacken it.
To move an object by taking it by an end, it is enough to make same handling but without the object being selected auparavent.
To modify an object, it is necessary to select it then to take it by one of its handles.
A multiple selection can be carried out thanks to a selection box: one presses on the button of the mouse with the cursor apart from an object, then one draws the mouse, a grayed dotted rectangle takes shape, one includes the objects which one wants to select in this rectangle and one slackens the button of the mouse. The selection is ridge in real time.
Another solution, of the successive clicks on the objects which one wants to select by keeping inserted the key “Shift”.
With the key “Alt”, the Sélection tool makes it possible to add a point to a polygon: Select the polygon and move one of its tops by maintaining the key “Alt” supported. To remove a top, it is enough to move it on another. At the time of the déselection of the polygon, RealCADD controls the tops and removes the doubled blooms.

(S)

The Lasso tool makes it possible to select the objects contained in the free figure which you draw with the tool.
As for the Arrow tool, the selection is ridge in real time thus you control better what you ridges.

(H)

The Hand tool makes it possible to move your drawing in the window without using the elevators, for that it is necessary of course which your drawing is larger than your window.
Another means to move you in a drawing, the serrated roller of your mouse: vertical displacement with the serrated roller alone and horizontal displacement with the serrated roller and the key “shift” supported.
The Hand tool also makes it possible to move the print area if you use it with the key “Alt” supported.

(Z)

The Zoom tool allows zoomer directly on part of the drawing by including it in a rectangle identical to the selection box.
A simple click on the drawing with this tool makes it possible to return at a sight with zoom 1 time (100%).
The serrated roller of your mouse allows zoomer ahead or behind if the key “Alt” is supported. At the time of a front zoom with this method, RealCADD will try to center the zoom on the position of the mouse.

(X)

The Text tool makes it possible to create or modify text objects. For that, it is enough to click with this tool on the drawing to create a new text object, or to click on existing a text object to be able to modify it.

The Text tool with line makes it possible to draw a text with a line of fastener. Begin by drawing a line, it will be that with the arrow, then move the mouse to define the length of the horizontal line, click when this length is appropriate to you, then type your text.
The text can be positioned automatically on the horizontal line or in prolongation. See the dialogue preferably tool, small Edition - Preferences - Text with line, or at the time of the click on the tool maintain the Option key inserted on Mac or the key alt on PC.

(L)

The Line tool is an unrolling tool which comprises 4 tools:
The free Line tool 2 ends makes it possible to create lines while clicking and drawing (or while click-clicking according to the selected option) in the zone from drawing.
During the use of this tool with the key “Shift”, one passes in constrained mode.
As for all the tools, by beginning a layout with the key “Alt” supported, you draw parallel objects according to the parameter setting of the parallel tool. The values of the shifts of the parallels are calculated with the scale and the unit of the drawing in force during the posting of the dialogue of parameter setting of the parallels. If you change the active scale or the unit, you will owe reparamétrer the parallels.
By finishing the drawing with the key “Ctrl” supported, the guide-line is unobtrusive and only the parallels are preserved.

The Constrained line tool 2 ends makes it possible to trace lines following of the preset angles (constrained Edit-Preference-Angles).
While clicking on the tool with the key “Alt” supported, you will cause the poster of the dialogue of parameter setting of the constrained angles.

The Rectangle tool is also an unrolling tool.

The Arc tool is also an unrolling tool.
Tool Arc by center+radius+arc: it is enough to start by drawing a line with this tool, the first point will be the center of the arc, the line defines the ray of the arc, the second point of the line will be the beginning of the arc, then by moving the mouse without pressing on his button, one defines the arc itself and one finishes with a click when the arc is such as one wishes it.

Tool Arc by 3 points: trace one 1st line then the second, like a polygon, the arc created begin with the 1st point passes through the second and finishes with 3rd.

Tool Arc by diameter: the arc created begin with the 1st point and finishes with the second, the line between the 2 points is the diameter of the arc.
With the key “Alt” supported, the arc is reversed.

Tool Arc of ellipse: created a quarter of ellipse which begin with the 1st point and finishes with the second, delta X and the delta enters there the 2 points are the 2 rays of the ellipse.
With the key “Alt” supported, the arc of ellipse is reversed.

(Y)

The Polygon tool is also an unrolling tool.
Thanks to the tool Polygon, one traces polygons while starting by drawing a line which will be the first segment of the polygon then by moving the mouse and by carrying out successive clicks for each top of the polygon. One finishes is by a double-click (or a 'Ctrl'+clic) for an open polygon or RealCADD stops itself the procedure when the polygon is closed again.
The use of the key shift, to obtain the constrained angles, is also possible with the Polygone tool.
You can add tops with a polygon already traced, by selecting it, then by drawing one from these tops by keeping the key “Alt” supported.

This tool enables you to trace regular polygons automatically.
To specify the number on sides of the polygon, click on the tool with the key “Alt” supported to make apparaitre the dialogue.

(N)

The Spline tool enables you to trace splines, i.e. curves passing by the points of you specify.
This tool is used in the same way that the Polygon tool.
You can add tops with an already traced spline, by selecting it, then by drawing one from these tops by keeping the key “Alt” inserted.
Same things with the keys “Alt” and “Ctrl” to trace parallels.

The Free line tool makes it possible to trace lines “by a show of hands” while keeping the button of the inserted mouse and while moving the mouse.
These lines are in fact of the polygons with multiple tops. RealCADD optimizes the number of the tops by removing those which are useless. To use this tool, it is preferable to deactivate the Grid attraction.

The Quotation tool is also an unrolling tool.
The tool Single line of quotation is used while starting by drawing a line between the two points which one wishes to dimension then by moving the mouse to position the coast horizontally or vertically. One finishes by a click.
Click on the tool with the key “Alt” supported to make apparaitre the dialogue of parameter setting.

With the tool Multiple line of quotation, one starts with a simple quotation, then successive clicks on the points which one wants to dimension and one finishes by a double-click.

The tool Angular quotation requires lines or sides of object of reference. Click on a first line or a first side, draw a line to a second, then move the mouse for place the quotation and click to finish.

The tool Cut and extend of lines is also an unrolling tool.
You have the Cut and extend simple which makes it possible to prolong a line to another object, if that is possible or to cut the line on the level of its intersection with an object.
The tool is used by drawing a line between the line to be prolonged or cross and the with dimensions one of the object of reference.
The parameter setting of the tool makes it possible to choose between a prolongation alone, a prolongation and cut or a prolongation plus cut and obliteration. In the last case, only the parts of clicked lines are preserved.

You also have the Cut tool with chamfer which is used like the Cut and extend simple.
These parameters are the same ones, more the definition of the chamfer.

And the tool Cut with fillet which is used like the Cut and extend simple.
These parameters are the same ones, more the definition of the leave.

The Parallel tool functions like the menu “Action => Parallels…” it takes again the parameters.
If no parameter were still specified, the dialogue is posted automatically when the tool is activated.
If the parameters were already fixed, to reveal the dialogue to modify them, it is enough to maintain inserted the key “Alt” when you click on the tool.
Once the parameterized tool, it is enough to click on the object in you wish to have one or of the parallels.

The Cutting tool line enables you to remove portions of line.
While clicking with this tool on a line, RealCADD will remove the portion of this line ranging between the 2 intersections between the line and any other object (except text, hatching, texture, image) closest.
If the click is made between an end of the line and an intersection, the line will be removed between these 2 points.
If no intersection is found, the line will be entirely deleted.

The pallet of attributs...
